""Could you pass me my helmet, Flurry?"
Flurry jerked her head away from the window she was gazing out of and towards her younger sister.
"What did you say?"
Skyla pointed to the helmet hanging on the coat hanger next to the alicorn. Flurry levitated the helmet over to the pegasus, who had just finished tying her mane up.
"Thanks," Skyla said, fitting the head gear on and pulling her mane through the space in the back of it.
"Skyla, are you sure you want to do this?" Flurry suddenly asked. Skyla looked up from slipping her shoes on.
"Do what?" She cocked her head sideways. Flurry bit her lip.
"I mean… you've never been on a real mission before, and"
"Oh! The mission? Heck yeah!" She quickly jumped into all four of her hoof armor and pranced over to Flurry. "This is the first real mission with my peers! I couldn't be more excited!" She wrapped her wing around her sister and gave a wide grin. "Why wouldn't I be sure about this?"
"Well… because…" she slipped out of her sister's grip. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"
Skyla arched a brow. "Of course I am!" she objected. I've been training for years!"
Flurry looked uncertain. "But… is that really enough?"
The pegasus scoffed. "Yeah. What could be more that 'years'?"
"…A few more years, perhaps?" she suggested sheepishly. Skyla rolled her eyes.
"I'd still refer my years of training as 'years', no matter how many more years I train for," she argued. "There has to be a first time for everything, and with this it's now or never!" She began to strut towards the exit to the room.
"…Can't it be tomorrow, at least?" Flurry murmured. Skyla paused for a moment, before shaking her head and continuing to walk.
"I'm not one for waiting," she stated, before shutting the door behind her.
