And even though each of the girls are right there in the room with her, none of them even bat an eye or show any concern when Sunset gets hurt by their magic. Since it's been established that Sunset Shimmer has been struggling to make friends at CHS, the fact that all five of her supposed friends don't even appear to care that she's getting hurt kills the slapstick tone the short is trying to convey. "
