The successor to the throne of the Dragon Kingdom. Princess Ember is the daughter of Dragon Lord Torch, and as such she carries herself with with the dignity and grace befitting of a princess. To wit, a Dragon princess should be intimidating and powerful. Ember, like all dragons, is very unfriendly to others, and despite that she’s the current Dragon Lord’s daughter, she didn’t inherit the throne to the Dragonlands. No, she had to earn her spot as the next Lord of the Dragons. There is a tradition that the current dragon lord must relinquish his or her position after 700 years of rule. Dragons may be brash, but they are honorable so they follow this rule with very little complaint. Young Dragons have a much worse attitude, but they mellow at about the 400th birthday.
She actually wasn’t allowed to participate in the competition to declare the next Lord. She disguised herself as a Gladiator in full plate armor to bypass her father’s ban, though various events early in the competition caused her to drop her guise. It was mostly a non issue since the contest to claim the symbol of the Dragon race, the Bloodstone Scepter, is unsupervised by the current Dragon Lord. With this in mind, she infiltrated the contest knowing she could best the meatheads she called competition. The reason she was banned from participating is the same reason she found herself struggling; her young age compared to the other participants. She’s not a child by any means, but her age made the competition more than difficult for the Dragon Princess. Thankfully since all dragons were summoned to the Dragon Lands, the friendliest Dragon was also summoned.
With the reluctantly accepted help of a short and surprisingly levelheaded Dragon blacksmith, Ember was able to overcome the odds set against her while being taught value of allies and friendships. In fact, it wasn’t even Ember who claimed the Scepter first, it was the blacksmith. It was a very bittersweet moment to watch the Magicks of the Scepter flow through him, accepting it as its master. Much to her surprise, his first act as the new Dragon Lord was to pass the title to Ember herself. An act that not only made the Dragonlands a powerful ally to the Solar and Lunar Kingdoms, it also cemented the friendship between the Princess, now lord, and the humble blacksmith.
Gladiators aren’t well known for their scepter use, so she retrained herself as a Bishop. The Dragon has been a fully trained Gladiator, but never wore the full armor since Dragon scales provided more than enough protection. As a Bishop however, she was expected to wear long, draping clothes. She adapted well enough to that, but what took some time for her to get used to was channeling Magicks. The Scepter enhanced the dormant magicks that rest in a Dragon, allowing to utilize many different, and unusual spells across all colors and arcane Magicks.
Gladiator’s Paulders — Part of the armor set used during the Gauntlet of Fire for a disguise. Her disguise was her class at the time: Gladiator. She utilized her Claws and Swordplay (with a lot of help from a dragon from a foreign land) to win the gauntlet to claim the title of Lord of the Dragons.
Bloodstone Scepter — The Scepter wielded By the Lord of the Dragons. Originally, it actually wasn’t claimed by her, but a companion she picked up along the way. He taught her the importance of companionship and alliances. In the end, she gained a friend and a nation’s alliance. However, her claws are often tied downing those who don’t see her rule as legitimate since she acquired the scepter second hand. She is more than well equipped to deal with them. Her already mighty strength is only complimented by the Scepter’s augmentations of her latent magical talents. With it she has access to many unusual debilitating and damaging spells. Beyond that, its still a VERY hard stone attached to a rather sturdy stick.
