Since there are no male G3 ponies, I thought I'd come up with a design for one. I thought it should look noticeably different than the females we know, besides just having no eyelashes or something.Here we have my old pony OC, Cowboy, modelling the male concept. I gave him a longer and squarer muzzle, stockier body, visible hooves, shorter hair (duh), and took away the eyelashes.I chose Wisteria for the female comparison since I wanted the female to be in a blushing pose, and purple was a good color for it.So as for my headcanon, Maybe the male ponies live in completely different towns and they never see each other except for once a year, maybe a mating season of sorts. Kind of like the Big Brother Ponies in G1. I mean come on, they have to reproduce somehow. There were even baby ponies in the show! Well, not quite babies, but you know what I mean. Rarity, Honolulu, (Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle in 3.5).
