"The original version of this pic was made a whole month before the rest of the Shadowbolts series. When put together, the thick strokes for the line art and a bunch of unnecessary bits made this one stand out in a bad way.

This new version solves some of the problems and the result is something that looks cleaner and closer to the later projects.

As for references to the other Shadowbolts: the color scheme of the clothes was taken from Sunny Flare's eyes and Sugarcoat's hair.

That expression of hers almost made me title this 'Out of Character' since it's an odd one for someone who usually reacts to things with either anger or pretend happiness. Then i looked at the rest of the gallery in mlpics and realized half of the images there could have that same name XP"
