While enjoying the summer morning with nice temperate tempretures, all of a sudden the residents of ponyville and almost all of Equeastria experiences a sudden increase in the heat. The thermometers are increasing with each pulse,and the nice, cool lakes and pools are evaporing do to the heat!

When the squad find out that something of a greater force is countering Celestia's power over the sun, the squad come to a suggestion it has to be with Regiyro making a comeback. But, they realize after catching regiyro that it isn't responsible with the increasing temperatures…

They follow the source to the Ring of Fire islands in Darkelf's universe, learning from a new Darkelf Alternate named Pyrewatch Elf that a regi named Volcaniregi: a regi made up of the most purest volcanic matter, has had a crime against the early times of humanity. Therefore, Volcaniregi is taking matters into his own hands by using the sun's deadly rays to burn and dehydrate the world that put him to rest!

The temperature is rising drastically… And so is the drought..
