One of those cute animation things : the students don't all realize the trap door opens at the same time. First its Gallus and Silverstream, then Yona and Smolder, and finally it dawns on Sandbar and Ocellus.
Also, Smolder's got a little wheeled device that is holding up her tail to make her have a "four legged" body shape. Easy to see in:
