Nothing like getting deep into writing a story arc about estranged siblings and slowly realizing that you're unconsciously exorcising your own unresolved family issues and it's too late to back out now, and trying to figure out how and where to rein it in on the fly. Whoops. Writer's block comes in many forms.
Transcript:Rarity: All jokes aside, I'm not the only one nervous at the… quintupling of security in every direction, am I?
Rainbow Dash: I dunno, it's just making me itch for a fight.
Applejack: Nervous is a pretty natural reaction for this, Ah think.
Princess Cadance: Guards: They're great when you're expecting them, but you never want to be surprised.
Applejack: Well, it's at least a sight better than them pretendin' everything's fine and dandy when it's obvious somethin' bad is gonna happen.
DM: Based on what, exactly?
Applejack: The fact that we're spendin' a session on this.
DM: That's the definition of metagaming!
Twilight Sparkle: For some reason, it ticks me off more. If it's this bad, why even have a big fancy royal wedding anyway?
Shining Armor: Yeah, I totally get what you mean. If it were up to me, I'd drop everything and focus on solving the problem, y'know? But then I never slow down and I end up losing sight of what makes me and others happy, y'know? The purpose of it all.
Twilight Sparkle: You too? Y-Yeah, I… guess I can imagine what that's like.
