Princess Celestia Floatie

This piece currently resides with Traveling Pony Museum; they should be listing it on their online etsy store soon though so I'll drop a link to it here once it's listed! It's no longer available by itself though, it comes accompanied with this "baby Woona" pony that rides it:

I saw the Celestia floatie in the My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Best Gift Ever Christmas special and had to make one. I’m also considering making more, of different pony characters such as Princess Luna, Derpy, and just about any if anyone’s interested!

Only thing that even makes this a custom pony still, is the head, wings and tail. Those are the only parts I used from pre-existing pony figures lol. So the base is a large metal ring. I hand stitched 3 layers of the thickest leather I have, (of course pre-punching stitch holes with a leather hole punch). Then the neck part is 2 layers of hand stitched thick leather and that wrapped around a wood dowel the head is propped on. The head is from a generation 2 McDonald pony. I have a pile of hard Celestia tails from the hard hair mold Pinklestias that came out in the early years of FiM. I then added strips of leather locks for the mane to make them match the tail. Wings on sides are severed from smaller princess ponies, and I added a strip of leather at the bases of the wings. Crown is cut from leather, and painted and I gave her leather ears as well. Coated the entire piece in white gesso.
Mane, tail, cutiemark, eyes and crown are all hand painted. Various colors of glitter acrylics were added to wings, horn, crown, mane/tail and cutiemark.
I signed and dated the bottom of the float.
