Another installment in this "Parent Headcanons" series~ I guess it's a series now lol, since I'm usually making straight up OCs (or in this case one OC and a canon character haha OC x Canon fight me fuckers) and giving them stories and stuffs

ON TO THE MAMAS~ It's a long one so strap in~

Story:

Due to an emotional divorce with a previous husband, Moonlight was out drinking at a bar when she was confronted by a blue unicorn by the name of Jackpot who flirted with her, and one thing led to another and a child was conceived. Jackpot left her without a trace the next morning and about a month later Moonlight realized she was pregnant. Jackpot was not aware he got her pregnant.

During her pregnancy, Moonlight met Spectacle whilst out shopping for groceries. Spectacle was looking for new flower seeds to grow in her garden, and she offered a few bits to help Moonlight pay for her food that she was buying. They began to talk as they were walking out of the store, and sometime in that conversation Moonlight mentioned that she was pregnant and living alone, not at all in a sad manner but just mentioning it. It was at this that Spectacle offered to help, and that she insisted in doing so. Moonlight found this oddly generous for a mare that had already payed for her food, so she said yes, hoping this mare wouldn't be like the husband she had divorced or like Jackpot (even though she never knew his name and only knew him as the unicorn that got her pregnant while she was drunk).

Spectacle stayed true to her offer and helped Moonlight all she could, whether it be buying food to satisfy Moonlight's weird cravings or helping her get up from laying down or sitting in the later months. Spectacle showed such kindness and sweetness to Moonlight, Moony was genuinely surprised, as not many other ponies had taken care of her or helped her this much before. Granted she's never been pregnant before, but just in general.

When the 11 months were up and Moonlight's baby was due, Spectacle waited to see the baby that she grew eager to see her newfound friend have. When she was allowed into the delivery room, Moonlight said she had never thought to think of a name for her baby. Once again, Spectacle offered to help here too. She suggested that the little filly be named Trixie Lulamoon, just because she thought it sounded cute. Moonlight thought about this for a second, and looked down at her newborn foal in her hooves. "Welcome, little Trixie Lulamoon..<sub>" she said, tiredly (as she had obviously just given birth). Trixie looked up at Moonlight and began to giggle, hearing her name be spoken. It was then settled, Spectacle had become part of Moonlight's newfound family.

Moonlight had to admit, she began to hear Spectacle's laughs as.. beautiful, rather than just friendly. She even found herself feeling warm in the face whenever Spectacle complimented her on her mane in the mornings, she felt a sense of security with Spectacle.. by golly, could she be in love? Little Trixie seemed to enjoy her company.. Moonlight then knew she felt something for the brown mare when she (Moonlight) made breakfast for them two and Trixie and couldn't get herself to stop staring at Spectacle as she giggled at Trixie making a mess of her oatmeal. She physically felt her heart leap, seeing her daughter so happy hanging around this mare that's stolen her heart and not known it.

Moonlight's one to admit her feelings once she knows she feels them, so later that evening when little Trixie had been rocked to sleep, she confessed her feelings towards Spectacle. Spectacle smiled and hugged Moonlight, and said she loved her too. That she had since little Lula was born, when she saw Moonlight be the happiest Spectacle had seen her. They went to bed that night cuddling, and feeling comfortable and happy with each other's presence now that they had adimitted their feelings towards each other.

Moonlight and Spectacle happily raised little Trixie for 5 years before they decided they'd like to have another kid, not only so Trixie could have a sibling to play with but because they wanted to have an extra member to raise and love as much as they do little Trixie. So, a little sex change spell and a night later, Spectacle is pregnant with her and Moonlight's baby. They decide to name this baby Blossom Delight, once they find out she's a girl. Blossom and Tixie became really close sisters.</sub>

There will be more information about Trixie and her half sister Blossom in due time, but that's for another post and not here~

When Blossom was about 2 and Trixie was 7, Spectacle proposed to Moonlight on a date where they hired a baby sitter to watch over Trixie and Blossom. Moonlight very happily said yes and the two had their wedding about a year later, where there were very colorful fireworks that Trixie seemed very fascinated by.~

Extra:
- Moonlight's birth family wasn't exactly the best, and she was taken into foster care when she was a filly but never got any adoptive parents. This led to her needing to feel a sense of security in some fashion, but at the same time forcing her to learn how to live on her own and without help. This changed when Spectacle introduced her to her own family, who openly welcomed Moonlight with open arms.~
- Moonlight's nickname for Spectacle is "Dandy Lion", an affectionate name she gave her when Spectacle moved her old garden to her and Moonlight's house. And also partly because of her new wife's cutie mark.
- When Trixie found her passion for stage magic and/or doing magic shows, Moonlight was supportive but worried that her little girl might get hurt, and thus after every time Trixie practiced her stage magic Moonlight protectively began to check for bruises or a sore horn and would tend to them if they got hurt. Trixie ended up getting used to this, and now always knows Mama Moon will always check up on her.
- Moonlight loved having tea parties with little Blossom and her stuffed animals, a little dtradition the two keep for years. You know, except eventually it's actual tea, and they're talking about more casual topics (like how each other's day was), and minus the stuffed animals. Usually.
- Moonlight never tells Trixie much about Jackpot; for all Trixie knows, her biological dad left her mom in the dust and has since died off. Which honestly isn't too far off, he has recently been presumed dead (in Hazardverse canon). Jackpot ends up never knowing he had a biological child, however that may be for the best.

Extra:
- Spectacle comes from a family of showponies, so one could imagine the excitement when Trixie told her she wanted to be a showpony. She immediatley consulted her family members to help Trixie on the path to greatness (much to Moonlight's worry but unconditional support otherwise).
- Blossom always finds it to be a joy to be around Spectacle, she finds her mom to be a huge ray of sunshine and always emitting such positivity towards others in a way that only she seems to be able to do. Trixie definitely agrees with her sister on this.
- Her nicknae for her wife is "Moonbeam", for not really any particular reason honesty. Just that she thinks it sounds nicer than her wife's birthname, Moonlight. She is ecstatic to find out when her wife starts going by Moonbeam and one day officially changes her name to such.
