Page 70 — Fighter Foresight
If the goal was to convince Rainbow Dash that the Shadowbolts were cooler than her friends, Nightmare Moon definitely made a good start with those costumes.
Although maybe it's the leader's mad grinning that sells it, I dunno. It's just another one of those screencaps I end up really liking.
Transcript:Twilight Sparkle: Okay, PLEASE tell me we’re getting close to the old palace. Or that we’re at least on the right track.
DM: Actually, now you can spot some ruins matching the description from the Reference Guide. The Elements of Harmony aren’t too far now.
Twilight Sparkle: Finally! Let’s go!
DM: Unfortunately, there’s a chasm between you and the ruins. The wooden bridge spanning it is only attached on your end.
Twilight Sparkle: No! So cloooooose…
Rainbow Dash: I know it’s easy to forget, but two of us have WINGS. They do stuff.
Pinkie Pie: Oh yeah! But who’s gonna go down there?
Rainbow Dash: Druid? You wanna take this one?
Fluttershy: Um… I… uh…
Rainbow Dash: Thought not. Leave it to me!
DM: You’re able to dive into the fog and grab the opposite end of the wooden bridge by the ropes. But as you bring it up to the other side to tie it off, you notice that the fog is closing in. It quickly becomes difficult to see very far in front of you, much less back across the chasm.
Rainbow Dash: Woah, hold up! Before you say another word, I’m readying an action! Whirling Frenzy!
DM: Uh… What are you waiting for?
Rainbow Dash: The first sign of hostility!
DM: O…kay…
DM: Out of the fog in front of you, three pegasi clad in black flight suits appear.
Rainbow Dash: Are they hostile?
DM: They are decidedly NOT hostile.
Rainbow Dash: Drat. Should’ve said “The first sign of ANOTHER boring roleplaying encounter.”
