Now would be a good time to share a story about spectacular failures in death-pit navigation.
In other news, I'm going to staying in Portland for several weeks starting today, which means I'll be in town for Northwest Bronyfest. I'd like to do something cool and Friendship is Dragons-related at the meetup, but I have zero ideas. Any thoughts?
Transcript:Twilight Sparkle: So we’re going along this path HERE.
DM: Huh? How are you getting there?
Twilight Sparkle: This intersection. We just go in that direction.
DM: Let me see that… Oh, no no no. That’s not an intersection. Those are two cliff paths separated by a ravine. The paths are in sight of each other, technically, but don’t actually connect.
Rarity: Truly? They’re so close together, though.
Twilight Sparkle: This is why maps need scales!
DM: Okay, alright! Point taken!
Rainbow Dash: That close, huh? What’s stopping us from just – I don’t know – jumping across?
DM: The gap between the two cliffs.
Rainbow Dash: Wings.
DM: That gets YOU over, and there’s no bridge this time.
Rainbow Dash: What, the six of us can’t figure out another way? C’mon.
