My groups tend to get so caught up in the task at hand that we forget to take so much as a short rest in-game. For four sessions in a row, somehow.
Transcript:Twilight Sparkle: How about I suggest a third option: We go home for tonight, but I’ll take one of these flowers back and study it. Then, when we meet Zecora tomorrow, we’ll be much better informed about her plans.
DM: Alright, you can do that.
Applejack: Fine. Let’s get this over with.
DM: Okay, so you all reluctantly go home. Twilight, roll Arcana.
Twilight Sparkle: <roll> 29.
DM: Woah. After a couple hours of study, you figure out that the flower has some kind of natural enchantment built into it. But the effect of the enchantment eludes you.
Twilight Sparkle: Really? That’s it for a 29?
DM: A bit lower and you wouldn’t have learned anything at all. The dormant enchantment was extremely tough to spot.
Twilight Sparkle: Well then, I guess nothing else is going to happen tonight. I go to sleep.
DM: While you’re asleep, something happens…
Twilight Sparkle: Dammit!
