Page 700 — Element of Stubborn

I barely got any time to work on Story Time this week, like I suspected. With next week proving to be a continuation of this one's madness, plus some extras, I'm giving myself an extra two weeks to work on Story Time 3.

So, page 700. The past milestones — 200 through 600 — have been celebrated with an attitude of amazement, gratitude, and humble disbelief. Not so much this one.

It's been a rough few weeks leading up to this. My buffer's pretty much drained by now. There have been a couple of incidents I can recall where I've woken up early to grab screencaps and put together the comic within the hour it goes up. Page 700, for me personally, is less of a mystery in what it represents compared to milestones past. For me, it means I've survived. I've persevered. I've endured. If barely.

I'll admit it's more melancholy than it deserves, but that's the kind of mood I'm in, and I see no reason to pretend otherwise.

So I guess what I'm saying is that I could use a lengthy sabbatical and now would be a great time to start submitting guest comics, if you've got any ideas kicking around. We're coming up on the end of this arc anyway.

Pinkie Pie: You broke your promise! And don't give me any "But technically I didn't go to breakfast" excuses! You abused our trust to avoid giving us what we agreed on, which makes you dishonest and lying!
Applejack: …TECHNICALLY, Ah didn't break mah promise because…
Pinkie Pie: OH, COME ON, Applejack! Why?!
Applejack: Sorry, Pinkie, but Ah just can't. Ah just can't say it. Not until Ah've taken care of things. Not until Ah've put all of this behind me.
Rarity: I'm starting to wonder about that text message, now. Did she really tell you to make this so difficult?
DM: <sigh> I might be closely following the letter of what little she could say. I might also be improvising my butt off. At this point, does it even matter?
Twilight Sparkle: It matters if we're all wasting our time.
DM: You've followed her out into the deep desert. Safe to say that if you foil her now, she's not gonna have any tricks left.
Rainbow Dash: You heard the DM! Start up combat and let's end this!
Pinkie Pie: No way Jose! Even when she's mad, Pinkie's not the type of pony to punch her friend! I'm just going to give her some space and one last chance to come clean!
DM: Give her some space…?
Pinkie Pie: Raritycatchme!
SFX: (BOING)
