Page 709 — The Rodeo Clown
We're nearing the end of this arc, and I haven't been too fervent about hunting down guest comics, despite desperately wanting/needing a sabbatical. It's likely I'll just fill the space with another IDW comic arc and the couple of guest comics I do have coming my way, but it raises an interesting question.
Especially for you guys who come read it every update, how would you react hypothetically to just a month of no updates? I mean, I've been doing this for what, almost five years? I know there was a week where I wasn't able to put anything up (and thankfully that's the only major slip-up in the entire run), but suppose such a long break was planned and given plenty of warning. Do you think that would be a wise move? Would people come back after the break? Or is the effort to provide at least some content every week appreciated? It's a question I really haven't directly asked you before.
Transcript:Applejack: You done described the contents of mah saddlebags yet?
DM: I got as far as "multicolored rodeo ribbons."
Applejack: That's right. Multiple colors, save one: Blue. Ah placed a bunch of times, but didn't get a single first prize.
Rainbow Dash: You… Hold on. You LOST, and that's why you avoided us?
Applejack: Seems that way. But yeah, mah dice were abysmal. Downright embarrassin', rodeo pony like me losin' every single event.
Twilight Sparkle: Wait, wait. The ticket. Does that mean you don't have it?
DM: I said repeatedly, "That part's being taken care of."
Applejack: Right. That's where Cherry Jubilee comes in.
