Which makes it strange when you somehow end up learning life lessons that apply to the mundane world, regardless.

Fluttershy: I think it's important to remember that we really thought you were under some kind of control or blackmail at the time… And that in a real-life version of this situation, we probably should have respected your privacy and trusted your judgment… But yes, rest assured that we would go into the desert for you, Applejack.
