People have rightly pointed out that it's a little strange jumping to after all the previous worldbuilding that the show did, trying to justify it all in the comic. Personally, I'm finding it to be an interesting challenge, jumping to the future and filling in the blanks with all sorts of world-changing adventures, and trying to convey that to the players. Most jump-forward sequel stories just kinda go "And then things were basically fine for 18 years."
Transcript:DM: Silverstream…
Silverstream (PP): Oooh, yes?
DM: You pass through a waterfall to find yourself in a place that reminds you a lot of Mount Aris, the home of the hippogriffs. Lots of tall open-air chambers with room to fly around, as well as pools of clear water for swimming.
Silverstream (PP): So, it's totally an illusion, right?
DM: Hard to say at a glance. Maybe you've been teleported back home! If you were still in the catacombs, this layout would be very strange indeed.
Silverstream (PP): Well, it's a very neat illusion! I transform and dive underwater.
DM: You can do that. But as you sink beneath the safety of the still waters, you feel a rumbling and hear monstrous growling.
Silverstream (PP): Aww, not now!
DM: Through the wall of crystal at the far end of the chamber, you see giant silhouettes with glowing teal eyes approaching. To a hippogriff, there's no mistaking them. It's the Storm King, the foe who drove your people into hiding beneath the sea, and his army.
Silverstream (PP): Umm… How big a Big Bad was he?
DM: Very big and very bad.
Silverstream (PP): So an illusion version is still gonna be…
DM: Pretty big and pretty bad, yes.
