So this year celebrates 9 years of Friendship is magic. I found this out thanks to Derpibooru.
They are celebrating it with an art event, this is my submission. Their theme is to draw a character reaching their dreams, I think Twilight's growth throughout the years is a good example of that (well I hope it is).

In this picture, I drew Twilight Sparkle from the year Friendship is magic released, 2010, to when she first became an Alicorn princess back in 2013, then finishing with her final Alicorn princess form this year in 2019.
Looking at it, I'm surprised that Twilight appeared as a Unicorn for 3 years, then 6 years as an Alicorn. _{^{Thought that was a fun little fact.}}

Done in a nice simple style.
