alrighty Y'ALL!! PINKIE APPLE PIE!! this episode was so important to me when it came out uhhh
pinkie's always been my favorite character and the reasons for that have evolved throughout my time watching the show but at the time this aired it was very linked to the fact that she didnt seem to have family ties
i very much saw her as someone who walked away from her family and i speculated that this was because her family didn't support her or hurt her in some way, and i was struggling with the same thing at the time
yes, only a few episodes later in the same season we learn that this isn't the case but pinkie apple pie meant a lot to me as a "found family" narrative
it still makes me emotional, especially when i apply the old "pinkie didn't really have a family" logic to it
her verse in apples to the core makes me cry fgdsgh
(also sorry granny smith, you were supposed to be in this shot but i really didnt feel like drawing the cart rip)

OH ALSO y'all remember when they revealed this song to the public via comic con??? GOD THAT WAS SO COOL I WAS SOOOO EXCITED FOR SEASON 4 AT THE TIME
