Better late than never I guess~



For a long while I wanted to tackle a headcanon for Trixie's back story and parentage, every since Jack Pot showed up. But it took me a while cos I thought a lot about do I have a happy headcanon or a much more sad one. When Jim suggested that Jack may doesn't even know that Trixie exists, I had to go with the sad one.

So here goes:

Spectacle (Trixie's mom) were quite the romantic. She was from a noble family from Canterlot, grade A spell caster gradute from the School for Gifted Unicorns, at the time lived in Manehatten. While Jack Pot (Trixie's dad) were a traveling magician and, beknown to Spectacle, quite the heartbreaker.

The two of them met on a summer day in Manehatten, as it was one of Jack Pot's stop. The two of them started a fling. Spectacle was certain that their romance turn into something much more serious, Jack had different plans. For him what they had was just some 'fun' times. So just as fast he came into her life, he left it. Just after four days they met Jack left Manehatten without a word, to continue his tour. Spactecle waited days, hoping Jack may change his mind and return, but of course he never did. Heartbroken, Spactecle retunred to Canterlot to heal. After returning did she found out she's pregnant.

Spectacle hoped she could raise Trixie to be a better pony than Jack. And while she really loved her, it was lot of time overshadowed how Trixie looked like her father.And even more hated how Trixie also loved performing magic tricks. She hoped her daughter could became a great and powerful unicorn, just like her and her family. So just like herself, Spectacle enroled Trixie to the School of Gifted Unicorns. While Trixie did have magic potential, she was unable to learn the spells to harness it. She failed so many tests that the school in the end thought there's no point continuing her studies. So she dropped out, much to Spactecle dissapointment.

Trixie felt it. Her dropping out soured her and her mother's relationship. Spactecle stopped believing her daughter any good, Trixie knew she is. She wanted to persue what she loved. And that was magic tricks.

After a heated fight with her mother (Which may or may not happened because Trixie bought a traveling cart with her allowance.) teen Trixie run away from home and never looked back. After Spactecle spilled the trought about Trixie's father (Spactecle never talked about him, always derailed the conversation with a bitter look when Trixie asked.).

After that Trixie wandered Equestria as a traveling performer (uknown to her, just like Jack when he was young.), while searching for his father. Until she hit Las Pegasus.

Wandering the town saw a poster about one of Jack Pot's performance. Trixie knew right away looking at Jack has to be her father. She tried to meet him after his show, exicited to meet him, she overheard him talk (or rather flirt) with some mares. Where Jack said he never had any serious realtionships in the past and doesn't want to settle down and have kids (as it's not his style, according to him). Trixie knowing (or thinkin) Jack wouldn't want her in his life run away, never meeting him.

In the end Trixie never patched things up with her mother and never truly mer her father. For years all she had her cart and her show. Until she reached Ponyville.
