Guest Author's Note: "And that's Equestria Girls! 63 pages (69 if you split the doubles, I suppose). I'm being a bit twee here, in that this page is…kinda sorta also describing how my process with this went. I've never done anything like this before, so this was really an eye opening experience in a lot of ways. I definitely don't think I nailed this, and already see several ways I could improve. And I do want to improve! But I also don't want to impose or ruin anyone's experience with Friendship is Dragons proper, because regardless of your opinions on my work, I think we can all agree that Spud runs a damn fine comic.
So this may continue some day. It may not. That'll depend on what you all want, what Spud wants, and whether or not I can follow through on being better. I guess what I'm saying is: much like the real Equestria Girls, you can safely ignore this. : P
But seriously, thank you all so much for reading this lengthy guest arc. No matter if you loved it or thought it sucked hard core, I really do appreciate those of you who read and commented. As I mentioned a billion times throughout this comic: communication is key! It's not always pleasant, but actual communication can only improve things. Thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled Friendship is Dragons."
Newbiespud's Note: When GreatDinn pitched this guest arc, neither of us quite predicted it would get this long. But I'm glad it did. To say the last few months have been rough on my mental health, that I've needed a bit less work on my plate, would be a severe understatement. And to have someone come in as a guest for an entire arc, taking over comic duties for so long, that was new and challenging for both of us. I was happy to facilitate and guide it, and I hope you'll join me in thanking my friend Dinn for his help, service, and hard work.
Anyway, time for me to take back over. Next up is A Canterlot Wedding!
Transcript:FS: Have a good night!
Twilight Sparkle: Thanks for the ride home. I’m exhausted.
DM: You look it. Thanks for trying to help. Even if it had a few, uh, bumps.
Twilight Sparkle: It really wasn’t all bad, in the end. Honestly…despite everything, I’m glad I went. At the very least, I I think I made some friends.
DM: You’ll have to give me the full story sometime.
Twilight Sparkle: Only if you finally tell me how you’ve been describing us in “Story Time.”
DM: Dammit, I was hoping you’d forgotten about that.
Twilight’s Phone Buzzes
MD: Hey. I just wanted to say sorry, and thank you, again. The girls wanted me to tell you…and I wanted to tell you, that if you ever want to visit us again, you’re always welcome. For board games or D&D or anything. But I understand if you’d rather not.
Twilight Sparkle: If our schedules work out…I’d be happy to give it another shot.
