When Twilight became the ruler of Equestria, she didin't have abilities as powerfull as Celestia or Luna. Raising sun and moon wasn't a big problem, but taking care of ponies' problems during day and patrolling dreams each night was too much for the young princess. She decided to create dreamwalkers and gave each of them enchantend weapons to fight nightmares.
I didn't make any art of Loving Shadow for a long time. I redesigned her scythe, previous version had too many additional elements and didn't seem practical in combat.
