Mellow Vibes absolutely adores his Aunt Fluttershy, and sees her as a second mother. The two share quite a similar demeanor, both ponies kind and lovers of animals. Mel has spent many a day at his aunt's cottage, helping out in the sanctuary, sketching out its many inhabitants, and hanging with his beloved cousin Athena. Fluttershy is never short on encouragement and loving words whenever he presents a new piece of art. It was Fluttershy that helped Mel overcome his fear of bats, and helped him heal Stella, his pet Golden-capped fruit bat.



2. "You posses some of the most vibin' energy fields, my lengthy niece. Don't ever forget that."

"Thanks, Aunt Treezie. You always know what to say."

Treehugger, of course, loves her weird, wacky, and wonderful niece. Annie is never without a cool trick up her sleeve to entertain her (granted, easily-entertained) aunt. They bond closely over their mutual love of animals and nature. Athena also turns out to be Treehugger's most talented yoga student (obviously). She embraces the draconequus' uniqueness, though at times she can pick up some rather negative waves of energy emanating from the always-happy girl. Athena is always appreciative of her aunt's acceptance, and they often enjoy mutual sessions of sonic bliss.
