These are my ideas for the Next Generation of MLP taking place after the events of the show. Please note there are a lot of my head-canons and some of my personal ships/preferred ships. Please be respectful of my opinions :) (Smile) Additionally, I am not at all caught up with the current seasons at this time so there won't be references to them until I watch the episodes!

These two have been in the works for years now tbh, and these headshots were done at least 7 months ago LOL.
I've been sittin' on them till I finished their fullbody refs. Now I am finally finishing the first boy's, it should be done tomorrow, so I decided to post their headshots!

Their names are; Moonlit Reverie and Lucius Nights, respectively.

My notes were almost lost forever- their brainstorm was drafted on my old phone (I saved the memo to my google drive tho) and my brain bLAST about them was screeched over skype at RaePanda and since I haven't used Skype in years it too was almost lost. Now I have their notes saved to my secret stash of next gen secret secrets nehehe. Well, most of them. Their individual personalities are still in my google drive. But I remember a bit!

Being children of Luna, they were naturally born as alicorns. However, since half their DNA came from a bat pony, they are bat alicorns. Their only living parent is Luna, as they lost their other mother when they were young. Being part bat pony as well as princes of the moon, they have nocturnal tendencies. However since a lot of events in the castle take place during the day, they have an adjusted sleep schedule that lets them stay up longer in the night and sleep in through the morning. It is rare to see any bat ponies (that work in the castle) and/or Princess Luna awake for breakfast. They tend to start the day with a slightly late brunch.

I believe Lucius is the older of the twins. He is a royal through and through. The use of the royal 'we' is present during important events, and he is dedicated to his training and lessons befitting a prince of the moon. At first glance he seems to be the most open and kind prince of the twins. But his charming smiles are often fake, and his interest in his subjects is akin to the interest of a bored owner obligated to care for a no longer entertaining pet fish. He does not truly see the plight of his people, nor understand why he should care for their personal happiness. If forced to interact with a common pony longer than he'd wish too, his tone may become condescending and his true icy exterior begins to show.

Moonlit (Reverie? Moon? Idk what his nickname should be since Moon is a bit on the nose but Moonlit is a bit awkward) seems apathetic and uninterested. He dozes off during lessons and he prefers not to undergo his knightly training. His brother and his tutor nag him for being so distant, and the public views him as the cold and cool prince of the moon compared to the kind and charming Prince Lucius. But what can Moonlit do when all he wants is to sleep because every night when he lays his head down, his mind is jolted awake by the presence of nightmares all around him? While Luna can control whose dreams she visits, Moonlit is unable to just turn the 'switch off'. When he falls asleep, the bad dreams and restless sleep of all who live in Equestria come to him and cry out for peace. Ever the bleeding heart, Moonlit spends every night visiting the dreams of his subjects and calming their nightmares so they may get a good night's sleep. In exchange however, he expends energy rather than replenishing it, and thus is tired and not rested when he awakes. His mother has tried to help him control his dreamwalking ability, but to no avail. Lucius has also chastised him for not ignoring the nightmares of their subjects, like he does, and offers no pity since Moonlit has 'brought this on himself'.

I love these two bois and can't wait to get their refs done <3
