These are my ideas for the Next Generation of MLP taking place after the events of the show. Please note there are a lot of my head-canons and some of my personal ships/preferred ships. Please be respectful of my opinions :) (Smile) Additionally, I am not at all caught up with the current seasons at this time so there won't be references to them until I watch the episodes!

Glad to finally finish this! I love Star Bright <3 Here is a character study for her!

Here are descriptions for the drawings from left to right!

Quick Bio;

The second daughter of Twilight and Rainbow, Star Bright. This time the mothers decided to try it the old fashioned way. Twilight still hadn't perfected a safe 'Alicorn Impregnation' spell so they preformed a 'gender-bending' spell on Rainbow Dash. Originally, Twilight was the one who was going to be gender-bent, but Rainbow Dash really didn't want to go through 9 months of cravings and cramps and hormones again. So, Rainbow Dash temporarily became a stallion in order for them to have another foal. This time, a successful delivery of a healthy unicorn baby with no deformities.

Star Bright is a coltish young mare. She has short multicolored hair and a pale smooth coat. She has a lot of Rainbow Dash's spunk and a lot of Twilight's freaking-out-if-something-goes-wrong-ness. She was a wild thing as a foal, constantly getting into trouble around the castle and pulling pranks (sometimes with Rainbow Dash). She didn't have an outlet for all the energy inside her or her imagination, until she discovered her talent during an assignment at school that had the kids write a creative story. When she earned her cutiemark and finally had something to occupy her time besides pranking ponies, she became less of a headache.

She always loved stories that her mother would read her sister and her before bed but she never really took to reading until she got her cutiemark. Now her stories are Rainbow Dash's favorites and she reads with Twilight whenever they can get away, though she demands Twilight not tell Athena! Star Bright is extremely adventurous and often leaves the castle to get more inspiration for her stories by exploring new places. She gets a lot of inspiration from Daring Do.

Star Bright and Twilight (And Star and Morning Glow)

Star Bright is actually rather affectionate to her friends and family- though only unicorns, or those with horns, experience this the most. When she and Twilight tap horns, they often emit a bit of magic that merges together in their greetings.

Star loves to reinforce her bonds by touching horns with others- so much so that she sometimes comes knocking over to her non-unicorn friends and almost jabs them with her horn out of habit though!

Morning Glow is often held at horn-point when Star Bright comes to greet him. It spooked him so much the first few times that his feathers poofed up! Morning Glow doesn't have a reference yet, but he is a foal of Vapor Trail and Spitfire.

Star Bright and Accordion

Accordion is the foal her age she gets along with the most. She's so wacky and funny, Star Bright is always giggling around her! The two have very active imaginations, and when put together their excitement and energy often overtakes them and they end up accidentally leaving Accordion's twin Sprinkle Scoop out of their adventures. Sprinkle isn't as rambunctious as them anyway, so they aren't too bothered by it.

Cutie Mark Idea

A quick sketch for an idea I had of her CM. Left it as a sketch because I drew it last but wanted to be done with this so I could upload it and move on to the next pone pone since I've had this sheet waiting to be finished for over a month now. A book with a sparkle since her talent is creative writing / story telling.

Chibi Star Brights

Star Bright was born with a spiky red mane. As she grew older, her mane started sprouting new colors. Currently, she has four colors in her mane. While she is nowhere near a rainbow like her momma Rainbow Dash, she really hopes she will get develop more colors when she is older! Click and zoom in on that portion to see a prediction of her mane colors in the future. The next color just might be green…?

Star Bright and Rainbow Dash

Rainbow Dash and Star Bright get along very well. They both have a sense of adventure and Rainbow Dash encourages that spirit in her foal- despite Twilight's 'worry-wart' ways. Star Bright loves the sensation of flying, so whenever she can she likes to take a ride with her parents. Flying with Twilight is nice and gentle, but flying with Rainbow Dash is fast and exciting! She prefers getting rides from Rainbow and this along with reading together is a big part of their bonding.

Here are some fun factoids;

Used to hate reading until her big sister Athena got her to read.
She later discovered her CM, as a foal, when she was writing for a creative writing assignment in school.
Likes to go 'xploring- she sneaks out if she can manage it!
She likes to hang out with older ponies to be cool like them- she has intruded on many hangouts before. She likes ponies her age too though, especially when they want to go adventuring with her!

She has an overactive imagination- which later develops into day dreaming frequently- that she can get out through writing. Before she wrote stories, she resorted to mischief to satisfy her creative urges.
She has inherited Twilight's tendency to freak out if things don't go the way she planned.
She is a fast runner, and will eventually enter into track and field sports (to impress Rainbow).
She's not that great a listener, but if she reads something it sticks with her. She might have ADD.
She likes to have short hair because when she had long hair, Twilight would spend waaayy too much time styling it- mostly because Star inherited an unruly spiky mane from her other mother! But that's time better spent for adventuring!
As an infant, her hair spiked up just like Rainbow Dash's did.
Has friends in Canterlot, Ponyville, Cloudsdale, Appaloosa- she's got pals all around Equestria! This opens her up to having many different directions she can go in, and many different stories she can be a part of! She makes friends pretty easily, which baffles Athena, which goes to show that she really is a Princess of Friendship.

They have a strong connection and Star Bright loves her mother, though Twilight's uptight ways are a bit of a downer on Star Bright, and Twilight tries a little too hard to reign in Star Bright's more wild side, probably because she wants to impress Princess Celestia. When Star Bright starts lessons in magic, the two will begin quarreling more. Star Bright's rebellious phase will be most directed at Twilight. Still, they have a good bond and Star Bright loves her mothers dearly.

Puts pressure on her to become a polite and respectable princess
Twilight truly wants what is best for her children, but has unrealistic expectations due to her anxiety and insecurities that she sometimes projects onto her kids. She mellows of course, with age, wisdom, and more lessons in friendship… and family.
When Star Bright starts writing, Twilight is her second biggest fan… after Rainbow Dash! Star Bright gains confidence in sharing her writing from Twilight
Star Bright has always been interested in her mother's story- and after discovering her talent, she becomes even more engrossed in the tales that Twilight and Rainbow Dash have experienced. She was inspired by those stories to go and make her own- which is how she got her adventurous nature. She wants to do great things like her mothers did!

Rainbow Dash

Rainbow Dash and Star Bright have some adventures together- Star Bright still likes going on flights on Rainbow's back. Though soon, she will be too big for that fun.
Rainbow Dash is a reprieve from the serious princess duties that everyone else expects from Star. She is more of a pushover to Star Bright and unfortunately that leads to some arguments between Rainbow and Twilight.
Rainbow Dash is Star Bright's number one fan- she is always so excited and happy to read Star Bright's stories. She is also a good critic, surprisingly.
When Twilight gets too busy and tired to read Star and SkyLight to sleep, Rainbow Dash sneaks over to read to them in secret. They build a pillow fort and everything, it's awesome.
Star Bright likes to watch her mother's shows is always bummed with she cannot attend a Cloudsdale event because Twilight is too busy to fly her there. In those cases, she tries to sneak out with the help of a pegasus to see the shows. She's been able to trick Fluttershy a few times…
Rainbow, being the ambitious pony she is, also puts pressure on Star Bright. She lets up some of the princess pressure Twilight puts on, but at the same time she layers on lofty goals of Star Bright becoming a great athlete or becoming the best author ever. The sports angle is the most Rainbow presses on Star Bright. This pressure will begin to fade as it is transferred to Skylight.
The two are very close and if left alone, can get into some trouble around the castle! Star Bright's rambunctious attitude just brings out the same in Rainbow Dash- and vice versa!
