I designed this cutie awhile ago, but I've been trying to figure out where he fit into my next gen. Well, I did it ;P
A few years after Trenderhoof and Zephyr Breeze has their daughter Hot Spot, Trenderhoof decided that he wanted to extend their family by taking in an "unwanted, unfortunate, helpless orphan". To Zephyr's eager agreement, Trender even created a 5 part article piece on the adoption process of their second. Everyone seemed to enjoy the news story and the coverage of the family, and the TrenderBreeze family felt the dame, living for the attention. They picked out a small, three-legged baby fruit batpony named Passion Fruit, who was barely old enough to walk on his own. The family reveled in the media attention, continuing to give them word on Passion Fruit's adjustment to the family as long as ponies kept reading. But pretty soon, Trender was tired of writing about their son and the ponies around Equestria focused on newer, more attention-grabbing articles, leaving Passion wondering where all the fun went.
Passion Fruit grew up depending on himself and his older sister, who always managed to take care of him whenever their fathers had to work late for some reason or another. They weren't even around when he received his cutie mark, but Hot Spot was quick to go take him out for his favorite mango sorbet to celebrate. Passion turned into an independent, sassy stallion (with only a little bit of daddy issues). His talent lies in exotic fruit farming and he rents out a small garden with a few select fruits, like a "star fruit" tree, a few dragon fruit cacti, a pomelo tree, and cucamelon plants. He take great pride in what he calls his "little orchard" and dotes on his plants as if they were his babies.
