Jaded
Nobody really cares. They're all out for themselves- to protect what's theirs, even against fairness. I've barely scratched the surface of our reality, and already what I've seen of it apalls me.
Apathy. Indifference. Prejudice. All of these things and more flourish right under our nose, and we're complacent about it. We do nothing to fix what's really wrong with the world, and fault those who try as deviants and delinquents. The people that care are the only ones that are ever hurt. The people that matter are reduced to mediocirty.
Truly, to dare to care is a gamble you may very well lose.
