Guest Author's Note: "If there's one running gag that my Saturday group enjoys, it's 'needlessly rolling for things.'
Dice are fun to roll. I do not blame them for deciding to use the power of random numbers to determine character choices. Even when those choices end up destroying our safehouse in a misguided bid to 'make the place stable.' Or when those choices result in throwing a valuable, one-of-a-kind item into a fire to scare off a giant snake. Or when those choices result in swan diving off a mountain on a goat in an attempt to emulate Santa Clause.
After all, if I blamed any of them, my glass house would be just shattered."
Transcript:MD: All righty. It’s the day of the dance. All the students are at lunch. You ready?
Twilight Sparkle: Not many other choices at this point!
RT: We have our group ensemble all set! Wait, I need to make an adjustment.
RD: I roll to seamlessly integrate with the jock table.
MD: You don’t need to-
RD: 18!
MD: …Congrats, your cunning ruse goes undiscovered.
PP: I’m gonna start up a Traveler’s Chant! Remember! 4/4, simple swing, BPM around 112. Five, six, seven, eight!
Sound Effect: STOMP, CLAP, STOMP STOMP, CLAP
MD: Wait, what!? You actually prepared a song and dance!?
AJ: Hah! Naw. But we sure had ya goin’ there fer a minute. We tried to come up with a real thing.
RD: But we agreed this was way funnier.
