I haven't had a chance yet to speak my mind, or to share some kind of tribute to Kavi since I heard the tragic news. I've been in constant shock since I woke up and read the announcement yesterday. While I didn't know Kavi well, she's a person that I'd spoken to, and it hurt me to know that I'd never have the chance to get to know her better or to speak to her again. It hurt me more, seeing those who knew and loved her- including one of my dearest friends- in pain. I can't begin to imagine the amount of sadness and profound loss that you're feeling, and my heart aches because I would give anything to help, but there's nothing that I can do.

Kavi- I know that you're in a better place, and that you're wrapped in eternal joy and comfort in the hands of God. I may not be a particularly religious person, but I know this with absolute certainty because if anyone on this Earth deserved eternal happiness, it was you. It is those of us who remain on Earth and love you, who will shed endless tears until we join you in paradise, and can give you all of the hugs, affection, and kind words that we wish we had the chance to give you while you were here with us. We miss you, and you could never be forgotten or replaced. I know that you're smiling down on us, and that you'll be using your new found halo and set of wings to fly down to Earth, and watch over my friends while they pass their human lives. They'll never see you, but you will be there at their sides, beaming with pride on their brightest days, and holding their hand when the times are tough, and the sun doesn't shine.

I wish that they could see you. I wish that I could grow a pair of wings, fly up to heaven, take a Polaroid picture, bring it back to your friends and family and say "Look at her beautiful smile."

I'm not a Photographer, and I don't have wings- but I can hold a pencil and draw. On the 25th of August, 2017 ( a day that will forever be burned into our hearts and our minds ), I struggled with the desire to create a tribute to the amazing life that you lived, knowing that nothing my human hands can create would live up to your radiant beauty. But, I thought that it may bring some of the people that miss you comfort, to see you up in the clouds with a smile on your face. It is with the utmost respect to those who love Kavi, that I have created this image. Nothing could ever erase or overshadow the pain that I know you feel in response to this tragic loss, but I hope that it brings you a small bit of peace.

Rest in peace and eternal happiness, Kavidun- thank you for the beauty and kindness that you shared with the world.
