Bio:


Born and currently living in Cloudsdale, Sherbert is a pegasus pony responsible for guiding the Winter weather team to Ponyville to bring the snowy season. She’s around the age of 24, and she is often called “The Bringer of Winter” for her job. Sherbert is the one who organizes Winter being brought into the region of Ponyville. She also organized the snowfall, such as how much should fall, where, and when. Though, since she only does her job one season a year, the rest of the year she spends her job as an artist. She works mainly in painting, though she does dabble in ice sculpture in the colder seasons. Sherbert loves to paint snowy scenes such as snow capped mountains, frozen ponds, and frosted forests. She will often come down to Ponyville to paint these scenes, as you can’t find them up in her sky-high home of Cloudsdale.

In her childhood years, she was diagnosed with a deteriorating cataract in her right eye. Slowly, her vision in that eye has been diminishing to the point where everything viewed through that eye is nothing but blurred shapes. It’s very hard for her to make anything out through that eye, but luckily, her left eye is still fully functional. Though, due to only having one functional eye, her depth perception isn’t very good.

Growing up, Sherbert or “Sherby” as her friends would sometimes call her, had a good life. She grew up with a loving family with two wonderful parents, and she was very close to her grandmother. Granny would tell her stories of the snowflakes that fall every winter, and how special they were. Her grandmother is also the pony who knitted her scarf she wears when it's cold. She told of how a little pegasus shaped them to look like stars so ponies could make wishes on them. Already a pegasus who adored winter, Sherbert felt she wanted to make an important contribution on the season, just like the little filly over a millennia ago.

Sherbert earned her Cutie Mark, a pastel rainbow heart overlaying two ice crystals, when she realized her love for the winter season and what she can do to help move it along. She is a very close follower of the traditions started by a small filly over a millennia ago, where Pegasus ponies would create their own snowflakes and release them every winter snowfall. Sherbert carries on that tradition, and found her talent when she heard the tale of the pegasus filly. Encouraged by the one who started the tradition, Sherbert eagerly set to work carving delicate snowflakes, spending night after night feather crafting each individual flake. The tradition of making snowflakes by hoof had been dying out, since they were easier to make with machines in Cloudsdale. Though, she did her best to re-introduce hoof made snowflakes, and found her life-long interest in snow and ice, and the beauty it holds when carved into its newest form.

Sherbert’s personality is wide ranged, and many call her a fun pony to be around. She’s very playful when it comes to being sarcastic and sassy. She uses sarcasm when ponies state the obvious, and it always ends with her laughing it off. As well as sarcastic, she’s sassy and also a bit flirty. Sherbert enjoys flirting with her close stallion friends to watch them sputter and stutter. Her flirty nature is all in good fun, as she loves a good laugh. She’s a sucker for good jokes, as well as the corny ones. While she does enjoy humor, she’s also a very conscientious pony when it comes to her job as head of the Winter bringing team in Ponyville. Sherbert needs to have a schedule and some form of organization in her team to keep things moving along slowly. Just because Ponyville took forever just to clean up winter, doesn’t mean she’s going to be slow bringing winter to Ponyville. She’s a very hard working Pegasus that knows how to get things done.

Though, Sherbert does also have some traits that can get her into a bit of trouble. She’s known to be absent-minded from time to time, as she often daydreams when she’s not working. While working on her paintings and sculptures, Sherbert often spaces out from the rest of the world, leaving her to just her creations and nothing else. While on the job of bringing winter to Ponyville, she’s known to be rigorous on the ponies on her team. Sherbert is strict on her schedule, and she demands strict attention to rules and procedures when it comes to getting the job done. She’s known to be a curious pony, and her curiosity can make her a bit nosey. She does sometimes poke her nose into other pony’s business and loves rumors. She has a side that is prone to wanting to find all the juicy gossip and rumors going around. The pegasus is also very squeamish, and hates the sight of bad injuries. Sherbert shies away from it and would much rather find some other pony to help instead of herself.

Sherbert prefers a quiet night at home, curled up with a good book and a blanket after a long day of work. She does travel to Ponyville from time to time, and spends most of winter there in preparation and for the execution of winter and its snowfalls.

Shiver Flake is her closest companion when it comes to bringing winter to Ponyville. Shiver is her second in command, and a major contributor in hoof crafting snow flakes. Just like Sherbert, Shiver Flake takes time and puts a lot of care into making each star shaped flake. The two became friends in their childhood when Shiver moved to Cloudsdale from the Crystal Empire. Shiver looks up to Sherbert as an older sister of sorts as well.

The pegasus pony takes trips to the Crystal Empire from time to time when she gets stuck on inspiration on her paintings. Due to these visits, she has become acquainted to the three local Draconequi that sell their goods there; Glacia Jade, Glacier Chunk, and Blizzard Vale. She makes sure to visit the siblings to buy their wares and chat. She loves to purchase Glacia’s ice crafts, she bonded with Glacier Chunk over their disabilities (She’s half blind and Glacier is mute), and Blizzard Vale is just a rambunctious sweetheart. Sherbert has also come to know the local unicorn guard, Sapphire Blade. She makes sure to visit him when she’s in town, and when he’s off duty the two regularly go for coffee together and talk about what they’ve been up to. She enjoys his stories of the other guards, and Sapphire enjoys hearing about her latest works she’s been painting.
