It feels like this was a series of drawings done as an exercise that the artist tied together at the last minute with the dialogue. About the rabbit: that is typical behaviour from Hooty, but I see your point about 'everycreature' versus 'everypony'.
It seems like they all just turned into ponies/dragon/rabbit and apparently it is also their first time that this happened.
The rabbit saying "I'm a pony too!" makes me wonder why Hasbro/DHX introduced the word "everycreature", when in fact they all count them self as part of the big pony group? However this fits much better to the word "everypony", which most people in the fandom also tend to prefer.
