I had the idea that pony wedding bands are colored like their significant other.
How they met: Fluttershy frequents Jasmine’s tea shop and opens up a little more with each visit. She very much takes a liking to Jasmine Leaf’s calming nature and soothing voice which makes her feel at ease. Opening up to her is easier than most so she isn’t afraid to ask about the other’s hobbies and interests. The two start going places and doing things together, seemingly as friends although Fluttershy becomes increasingly sure that she wants more. Since she is terrible at these things though, it ends up being Jasmine Leaf who finally takes the hint and progresses things by bringing up her feelings. Working in a shop and interacting with others regularly makes her good at talking so she knows just the right way to inch things forward without scaring off her anxious crush.
Relationship: Extremely gentle and supportive. They talk about everything which can seem like a bit much to others, however it pays off well. They are good about arguing constructively and finding ways to compromise.
Offspring: One son, Snowberry (nicknamed Candle after he got his cutie mark), who is relatively shy and quiet like his moms. He is a great listener and fascinated by others which makes him a pretty darned good therapist when he gets older. He goes by Dr. Wick (another nickname branched off of the first one). Jasmine Leaf finds it cute, but Fluttershy is still a little hurt that he doesn’t go by his given name. She never fully moves past it, but learns to accept it thanks to Jasmine.
He lost his right frontal leg to a bad fall when he and some friends went exploring in an off-limits area full of sheer cliffs. It caused a lot of trauma requiring therapy for both himself and his moms.
Applebloom’s youngest child Zestar has quite the crush on him when he’s a teenager, but that’s quite an age gap and, needless to say, nothing ever comes it. Their parents do, however, love joking about it much to Zestar’s annoyance, especially when she gets older.
Candle himself actually spends a long time fancying Applejack’s daughter Opal, but again, nothing comes of it. They’re a little too different to work as a couple, but they are pretty good friends due to all the years of unsuccessful flirting, so it paid off somewhere.
