Ok so I had this idea stuck in my head for a little while. Maybe it has been done already but what about an AU with the M6 as other species and the creatures that they have helped as ponies?

How did they met? Discord wanted to study the fascinating unruly Everfree forest and discoverd some weird mismatched noodle. She has met ponies before but usually they do not stay in her presence, but Discord was so fascinated that he wanted to stay and get to know her.
