Too kind to ask

"I can't just tell them I ordered extra pickles, I mean, a fast food workers job is hard enough, I don't wanna bother them with a request like that. even if I do muster enough courage to talk to them, and ask for more pickles, what if they're out of pickles? I'll just look like a complete idiot, I can't handle rejection like that! they'll apologize to me and then I'll have to act like it's no big deal and awkwardly walk back to my table, but what if I was overheard? eyes of the other fast food patrons will look at me and silently laugh at my pitiful attempt to ask for more pickles. Then I'll just die of embarrassment on my table. See? I can't handle the pressure of THAT!! "
