While visiting the Breezie market inside the Together Tree in Bridlewood with Alphabittle, Sunny, Misty and their friends got accidently turned into foals by a magic powder. They waste no time running around the market and causing all manner of playful mischief. Stressed by the events, Alphabittle tries his best remain calm while trying to stop them from getting hurt.

Meanwhile, the scene was observed by the evil alicorn Opaline. She wanted to steal their cutie mark to increase her power and saw this as her best chance to strike…


Alphabittle: "Excuse me miss, but have you seen- Hey!! Just what do you think you're doing?!"

Opaline: "Do you mind? I'm rather busy here and I have no time to bother with the likes of you."

Alphabittle: "Let my Misty and her friends go or I'll make you regret it."

Opaline: "Your Misty?" *glances back and forth between Misty and Alphabittle* "So, she's YOUR daughter?"

Alphabittle: "Yes, I am her FATHER! How do you know my daughter? Who are you?!"

Opaline: *Laughs wickedly* "Oh I bet you're dying to know! But Misty and her friends are mine…" horn begins to flare threatening "…And I am not in the mood to play games!"

Alphabittle: Smirks "Believe me lady…"*Horn flares* "…You're gonna play. Because games are what I'm all about."


This is a reimagined scenario from the episode Tell Your Tale: Nightmare Market.

When I watched the episode and saw that Opaline was going to get involved, I already imagined some classic chase hijinks was going to happen. With Alphabittle and Opaline chasing Sunny, Misty and the others all over the market and getting into all sorts of hilarious situations.
And in the end, Alphabittle would confront Opaline and realize that she was the one who found Misty and raised her. He would ultimately chase her off and the girls would turn back to their grown up selfs.


…But instead, Opaline spent the entire episode freshening up and arrived too late. Her only consolation prize was stealing Onyx's cutie mark.

Overall, a huge missed opportunity

So I asked myself; What if Opaline was more proactive? And so I made this. Let's just hope Alphabittle really does notice her and saves the foals ^^

(NOTE: And to those who are wondering; Opaline is NOT planning to eat them. She only wants their cutie marks. What she would do with them once she accomplished that is anyone's guess. But likely nothing cruel or unusal.)
