Radiant Hope only has this one angle so far, my bad.

The Siege of the Crystal Empire is one of my favorite arcs in the comics. How canon it is depends just because of how Sombra is once he returns in Season 9. Is he the original Sombra or remnants of his darkness that was shed when Sombra was made a flesh and blood unicorn?

I don't know and I don't want to fully discard either idea. But for now, where Sombra is at this time is completely unknown to everyone, even Hope.

They were able to salvage some of Princess Amore's remnants before Sombra disappeared and later laid siege on Canterlot. But no one knows just why that happened that day and just who Discord brought back, and if the Sombra Hope knew and loved is still out there. But after that, Hope's quest of restoring Amore was halted. She didn't know where to look without Sombra's knowledge of where he scattered her remnants and, now that she's been brought back, she doesn't know if they even exist now in the modern day.

But she still wanted to make herself useful, so she agreed to be Flurry Heart's advisor and teacher in high level magic. And in her spare time she's one of the Empire's librarians, always looking out for more knowledge and more answers.

That hasn't changed now that she's in the current era, though she's had a lot more work she's had to do with the Empire's restoration. She's hoping they can reintegrate into society soon and that Flurry will earn more support outside of their circle. Maybe if that happens, she can return to trying to save Amore and exploring this new world. Skyros knows they need more royal aid around here. And maybe one day, Sombra won't be lost anymore.
