More of that counterpart AU. I'm thinking of calling my version "Equivalent Exchange" to differentiate it from the original. Honestly once you get past all the obvious ones the swaps get pretty hard. Like, who would swap with Thorax? Don't say Ocellus, that's boring.

I still want Ember to be some flavor of dragon royalty in EE so Spike here is a Dragonlands outcast, with his egg ending up in a phoenix nest. Imagine Dinosaur Train but like, way cooler, so Spike is raised as Peewee's very big brother. Ember's version of Gauntlet of Fire probably involves her meeting this weirdo who thinks he's a fire bird.

Sunburst obviously swaps with Starlight but there are a couple of things I want him to do differently:

Rather than preaching about pony equality, Sunburst's whole deal would be "changing your destiny." He'd still set up a town with ponies buying into his idea though.

Equalizing Flash's Mane 6? Nah, Sunburst would cutie-swap them Magical Mystery Cure style! He might even swap with Flash himself, his plan only failing because he doesn't realize that Flash is just as bad at spellcasting as he is lmao.

Sunburst is a crappy spellcaster, Flash Sentry is a powerful novice. Put them against each other and I'd say they're about equal! Unlike Starlight's last fight with Twilight, Sunburst is basically doing everything he can to keep up with Flash once his other contingencies (of which he had many of) run out.
