Yahoo's player is silly, it only gives you HD quality if you full screen it. Much better picture of the map
Also for comparison:
You can see Canterlot in the center, Cloudsdale to the upper left of that, and the Crystal palace at the very top, so we're seeing this map in the same orientation.
