I could've done what the show did, just the characters with a simple background, but no… monkey had to fill it in with actual stuff. Probably just so I could include a certain apple.
While that did stretch the focus a bit thin, it was interesting making this one. Art can often be a bit of a puzzle, having to figure things out and this was no exception. Considering the scene I might've been better of with a different process, but eh… I kinda started and had to commit to at least get it done within my usual one session limit!

If I make the scene too complex, that one piece from scrap to finish during Saturday streams can become quite ambitious.
Just like the Cutie Mark Crusaders just going out there in some other forest which apparently isn't that far of from Appleloosa. Earth ponies have been hard at work in the area, lots of green!
Great episode, though. So many new stallion designs and types of ponies. Lots of hats as well, which I suppose adds a different way to vary the "hairstyles".

Almost felt like the CMC expanded on their purpose, not just helping them self find their cutiemark, but others identify theirs.
Great stuff!

Also… those Applejack moments!!! Wet mane, contest, trophy, disciplining.
