- Granny Smith and her wife met on the Apple Farm when Granny first moved to Ponyville. Unfortunately, she passed away during Bright Mac's birth. Granny doesn't talk about her at all- the memory is too painful. It was a time before cameras so they have no pictures together, but Granny remembers her fondly. They planned to have a whole herd of children but never got the chance, which is why Granny is so excited when Bright Mac and Pear Butter bless her with 3 healthy grandchildren.
She raises Bright Mac on her own, but they live with a bunch of other apple farmers so Bright had plenty of company growing up.
- Pear Butter, nicknamed Buttercup, is of Pear Family origin. Like Granny Smith she's a very abnormally small Earth Pony (earth ponies are usually very large and bulky). As Grand Pear would say, she was always in "la la land, daydreaming and distracting herself all day long." But she was an amazing mother and wife. She and Granny Smith were very close too. Pear never knew her mother, so Granny filled the role well. They were such a happy fam
- Bright Mac was the tallest stallion in all Equestrian history till his son Big Mac broke the record at just 17 years old. He was a great dad, but he was always really busy. He and Applejack shared a particularly strong bond. Big Mac, in comparison, was super close to Buttercup.
- Big Mac is a spitting image of Granny Smith's wife, although he'd never know it. He's happy working on the farm and lives out his days there, occasionally babysitting his very aggressively energetic niece
- Applejack and Rarity go through a long period of awkwardness. Two of the six elementally-connected friends can't be together like that, can they? They struggled with their feelings for a while until Applejack gathered up the courage to ask Twilight for advice. After that very long confusion period, they took the chance of dating. Small things- more personal dinners, movie nights, stargazing together… then they couldn't be separated. Rarity is the only unicorn in the entire Apple Family, in all generations. The Apple Family has extremely pure earth pony blood throughout centuries, then Rarity came around and threw some unicorn blood in there
They planned to have like 4 kids but for some reason Rarity really struggled with the pregnancy, and Athena was horrific as a toddler anyway so they decided one was enough
- Apple Bloom looks the most like their father. She was the largest foal compared to AJ and Big Mac when they were born. Bloom is married to Diamond Tiara, and oh boy do they have a rough history
They left things on good terms as kids, after the years of competition and bullying. They met an understanding. They went to different middle schools and high schools, until Diamond Tiara transferred in their last year. They started to reconnect, but Diamond Tiara couldn't help but notice that Apple Bloom acted as if… as if nothing had ever happened. As if Tiara hadn't been horrible for years and years, even though they'd agreed to move past all that. She blurted out an apology and started sobbing on the spot. Apple Bloom was pretty confused and had to take her to the bathroom to calm her down. She offered to take her out to dinner, as a… "hey u alright" kinda thing
Long story short, they ended up together. Filthy Rich honestly had no problem with it, he'd done business plenty of times with the Apples and knew they were trustworthy, honest, good people. Spoiled Rich made Tiara choose- it was her family or the farm pony. Diamond Tiara left crying. Of course she'd pick the pony who actually care about her. She moved to the Apple Family Farm, and her sorrow slowly started to melt away. She was genuinely happy there.
There were challenges though- Diamond Tiara often found it very difficult to forgive herself. She would wake up panting in the night, and glance over to the side to make sure Bloom was still in bed with her. How could she be worthy of Apple Bloom's love? Wouldn't Bloom get tired of her? What was stopping her from finding another pony who hadn't bullied her for most of childhood…
Apple Bloom would wake up every time.
"Ti?" She'd ask, voice raspy, eyes heavy.
Diamond Tiara would breathe out. "Sorry, Blue… I'm-I'm sorry. Go back to bed, okay?"
Apple Bloom would let out a sigh, stretching her legs. "Okay, Ti. I love you."
Diamond Tiara smiled. That night she knew. Apple Bloom was above that. She wasn't simple and she wasn't shallow. Maybe, for once, she had a good thing in her life. And maybe it was here to stay.
- Applejack had a big problem with Diamond Tiara, naturally overprotective over her lil sis. At first she'd try the "this is her big plot to break your heart Apple Bloom," then the "she's never had a clean streak before, she won't start now," annndddd the "I mean, look at her. She's not good for you."
But Apple Bloom finally broke when Applejack tried to argue that this rich, upper-class-life pony wouldn't settle for Apple Bloom and the farm life. Apple Bloom simply rolled her eyes. Rarity settled for Applejack, so
And that's all I got! I've always really loved Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara so I kinda went a lot in depth with them lol. Also Tiara calls her "Blue" which is sort of short for "Bloom." I really like doing these family trees its a lotta fun. I didn't add Sweetie Belle here cuz I didn't have room. Also Granny is very much still alive
Thanks for lookin!
