Several months ago in 2018 I wanted to make an MLP O/FC based off of Captain Celaeno & her Parrot Pirate crew, but not be a pirate nor a parrot. So I started said OC, but while I got the head right the body was off. So I held off from making my O/FC & placed it on hiatus until I gotten better.

Fast forward to February 2019, after finishing my Valentine's Day themed piece I came across an artpiece someone did that, while it wasn't MLP related, was an avian in a posed that I liked. Along with doing a few sketches I worked on back in January that I like to showcase soon it was more than enough to motivated me to rework my up-and-coming new avian. And after stumbling across a Captain Celaeno pic I saw what I was doing wrong and went to work on my latest O/FC.

And now here she is: Cassidy Hawkthorne. She is an anthromorph variation of a red-tailed hawk or at least what I like for her to be in the MLP universe & my Valourverse. Like Celaeno, Cassidy does sport ears (I like the bird characters with them.) Not much is known about Cassidy, but she does work for Mademoiselle as both a receptionist and as a part-time model. While her employer & friend Mademoiselle knows little of her past, Cassidy doesn't wish to divulge about it. Cassidy prefers not to wear anything despite being an anthromorph normally 85% of the time, but she is usually seen wearing a necklace with a spade attach to it. It's usually covered up by her neck floof about 93% of the time she wears it. That's all I can say for now.

Artist Tidbit: while what I said is true, another reason why I delayed making Cassidy was me working on her backstory. I was having difficulty coming up with one, until finally came up with one. It'll be revealed at a later date and when I get her outfit right.
