Sugarcoat is the blunt, yet most honest member of the Crystal Prep Academy Shadowbolts. Despite, being highly intellectual and a talented Motocross player, Sugarcoat displays an overly blunt, cynical attitude towards others, Twilight Sparkle (Sci-Twi) in particular, pointing out their faults without hesitation. This notably contrasts with her name, which means to make something sound more pleasant than it is. However, she also knows, that no matter what she says, her friends will always love her for the way she is, blunt, straightforward, but compassionate and encouraging. Although she has been seen to be both harsh and intelligent, outside of the Friendship Games, we still know so little about her, which is the reason she was given the title, "The Honest Enigma".
