time to revamp an old oc (cracks knuckles)

this is strawberry sunrise, the second born daughter of sunset shimmer and flash sentry.

Sunset Shimmer was head over heels in love with twilight (scitwi), but after she moved to equestria to get away from her home, and the pair of them having zero chance, Sunset found herself rebounding pretty hard — back onto her ex, Flash Sentry.

Their first child, Luster Dawn, came about by complete accident and them being a little careless. It wasn't really what either of them had expected or wanted, but wanting what was best for the kid, they stuck with it. They even tried for a second child, just to obtain some illusion of domesticity and family life.
But, when Sunset was pregnant with the second child, it became very clear that Flash was not suited for life as a father. He was still stuck in that high school, guitar playing, jock attitude. He was absent, didn't care much for her or their kid, and didnt have the emotional maturity to be a father — and soon, the relationship fell apart.

Sunset has always been a bit stubborn, and a bit prideful, and so felt too ashamed to ask any of her friends for help during the fallout. She considered her options — her relationship with her parents had turned sour when she'd left Equestria, and too stubborn to accept any kind of help from her friends or from princess twilight, the only person (or pony ig) that she had to turn to was her brother.

Admittedly, they hadn't spoken for years, and suddenly here Sunset was right at his doorstep, heavily pregnant, holding onto a small foal, and asking for help. He was of course taken aback, but after bringing her inside and having a long discussion, he agreed to let her stay. — and they raised Sunset's kids together.

Strawberry Sunrise here was born not long after.

She's sweet, peppy, and just a little bit of an airhead. kinda like the popular girl at school that still manages to be kind and well spirited to you…..sorta the total opposite of her sister lol. She is very much the younger sibling, and Luster is keen to tease her as older siblings do.

Her talent is drink making, both alcoholic and non alcoholic — but well, she is a party girl, with a high alcohol tolerance. luster constantly believes she can outdrink her, but every time is proven horribly, horribly wrong…..Still, Strawberry appreciates the bonding experience!

She's super proud of her older sister, and likes to express it a lot even if Luster doesn't reciprocate. She misses her when she goes off to study, but she knows Luster is going on to do great things!! Meanwhile, she stays in the crystal empire, serving drinks at the local bar to both locals and thirsty tourists. Totally doesn't feel stunted in her life while her sister is a talented magic user, totes doesnt hate that she's just a dumb waitress. Totes doesn't hook up with random customers at the bar to distract herself. Totes not horribly afraid of being alone with herself and her thoughts. Totes.


also i am super aware of the fact that there is a pony in the show called strawberry sunrise, who is also a….yellow pegasus lmao. but ive had this oc since before she was shown in the show so i refuse to change
