I finally got my hands on the "Journal of Two Sisters" and Celestia and Luna kept mentioning the Alicorns as if there was (or is?) a whole society of them somewhere

anyway they helped raise Celetia and Luna to rule Equestria and Majesty (a g1 pony who was a queen~) was the first pony to be ascended into alicornhood (prior to that you were born one). She's regarded as a very proper and gracious ruler and teaches etiquette to the two (she's also pretty bomb at magic too)
