Neglect is a form of abuse not usually mentioned but one of the most widespread forms of it.

Precious, the mare in todays pic had two main problems: overweight and a loving but neglecting owner. Said owner did not take food times and quantities seriously and so her fluffy just got fat in no time. Negligence in food was the most severe one but the one that got Precious to the shelter was her owner, a woman well in her 350 lbs, sat on her without noticing, the result was a crushed hip and a fluffy that may not recover fully. Could have been a lot worse.
