Meet our resident giant Andre and his closes friend Timmy. They where brought to the shelter the very same day and their story is one worth praising.
Timmy was just your regular stray, a sight too common as of late in the streets of our cities. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and a young man who fits in what we call occasional abuser started chasing him. At that point we received a call of a concerned individual who informed us of that situation and a couple of the shelters team drove there.
What the team found was entirely unexpected: the so called abuser fled as he heard our people approaching and in that place they found not one but two fluffy ponies, an unharmed young stallion and what they describe and I do too as the biggest fluffy they have ever seen curling around the first one as if protecting him.
We healed bruises and cuts from that and took measurements stating the large fluffy stood 58 cm. and weighed 35 kg. and then and there we decided to name him Andre.
Timmy is a nice playful stallion and real young too and we took him in the shelter because he refused to leave Andre and now calls him best fwiend.
Andre is large but above all quiet and well mannered, very timid and laid back he spends most of his time napping. The foals at the shelter love to sleep on him as a great number of them fit on his back. It seems that the experience of making a fluffpile to sleep on a ready made mountain of fluff as is Andre is a very pleasing for the foals.
These guys will be ready for adoption soon as Andre has already healed from his wounds but we have to remark that if an adoption request is made it has to be to adopt both of them at the same time.
