Best guess on overlaying the maps, using the features of Canterlot, Cloudsdale, Horseshoe Bay, the river that runs south of the major features, and Crystal Castle.
Also there's some map projection issues from the first one — since you can see the curvature of the planet, the top parts are a bit skewed, so the Crystal Castle would line up better if there was an easy way to unde that skew.
