Page 243 — Dodongo Dislikes Prejudice
Every webcomic gets one "wall of text" gag free.
The title of this page is intended to be a reference to Mike Renner's In Wily's Defense [dead link; webarchive version with no comic], which turned the occasional wall of text strip into a running gag. (It's also an awesome webcomic, by the by.)
Transcript:Twilight Sparkle: Are those panicking NPCs still around?
DM: They ran inside, but one of them, Daisy, opens the door a crack and looks out at you.
Twilight Sparkle: Alright, Daisy. There’s a perfectly logical explanation for this. There’s a magical blue flower that grows within the Everfree Forest called Poison Joke. When a pony touches that flower and goes to sleep, they wake up with a humiliating curse. Zecora, the zebra, intentionally led us through a patch of this stuff so that we’d be forced to become her test subjects. When we found out about it, we also found out that there’s no known cure – we could be stuck with this for the rest of our lives. We confronted Zecora about this and learned that she’d been cursed for seven years by this flower, and she’s been searching for a cure. For the sake of research, she’s been experimenting on ponies in Ponyville secretly, unethically testing her less-than-successful cures on them. But now that all seven of us are in the same boat, we’re forced to work together long enough to get the true cure once and for all.

Daisy: Oh. I guess that’s logical enough.
