The current generation designed Moondancer as a clone over Twilight Sparkle, but it has been a character that has inspired more than one pony since the first generation. Just look at Baby Moondancer's design is the same as Sweetie Belle's. So in the same way daisy has the colors and personality of Moondancer of the third generation.
