Personality:
Apatite is a very preserved and quiet fellow, often preferring to be along than hanging out with the people around him. This reservation is due to his poor physique.

Apatite's demeanour has led many people to view him as somewhat arrogant and proud, but he proves to be an intelligent and honest individual with a weakness for gems. He relies on gemology to distract himself from his frustration and lonliness to due his 'true father's absence, and is quite fond of the kids of his age in ponyville, even if he doesn't show it.

He is quite senstive to his unfortunate sounding name.

Background:
AJ and Rarity wanted to have kids, but are unable to. AJ insisted on using magic, but Rarity wanted to have an actual child. So, the two agreed for a donor. However, to their surprise, the one they got is from a friend of theirs. When Apatite was born, AJ was concearned about how their kid will handle to fact he'll eventually start questioning about himself, to which Rarity say they'll manage.

Apatite grew up having an interest in gems and can differentiate the material they are just by looking. Which causes trouble for Rarity's bussiness partners when at one time at a ball, Apatite tells the whole guess that the jewel presented in the ball was a fake, causing a minor panic that is was stolen and switched.

Relationships:
Apatite is in good terms with his moms, however, he is noticably distant from AJ. Due to the fact that he is the result of being born from Rarity with a sperm donor, he lacks participating in the apple family bussiness and his weak physique does not allow him to perform heavy labor.

He is quite interested in Capper and suspects him being related to his moms in some way. But, he isn't 100% sure, but tries to spent his time with him whenever he gets the chance.
